Dr. Ferreira’s deep passion to help people, came from watching his father who was an Ophthalmologist. Since then, Dr. Ferreira dedicated and committed his entire carrier, to the field of Ophthalmology.

After successfully completing medical school. He moved to Los Angeles, California to perform his General Surgery Internship at UCLA/Drew University of Sciences.

His Ophthalmology Residency was also completed at UCLA/Drew University in Los Angeles. Further, he performed his 1st Medical and Surgical Vitreo-retinal Fellowship at University of Virginia in Charlottesville, The 2nd Surgical Vitreo-retinal Fellowship was at University of Tennessee, in Memphis.

For over 20 years, Dr Ferreira has played a key role in successfully saving , keeping and improving vision and lives for thousands of patients.

He has been actively involved with clinical trials and research, for many years, to develop the latest treatments and advancements in Ophthalmology.

He has also published numerous articles in peer review journals and magazines in Ophthalmology. He has been appointed, by his colleagues in SWFL, as a Top Doctors, in the Fort Myers and Naples area, for many consecutive years.
