Dr. Ferreira’s deep rooted desire to help people came from watching his father who was an Ophthalmologist. Since then, Dr. Ferreira has continued to learn from Ophthalmologists from all over the world. After studying medicine in Brazil, he completed his General Surgery Internship and Ophthalmology Residency at University of California Los Angeles. Further, he performed a Medical and Surgical Vitreo-retinal Fellowship at University of Virginia and a Surgical Vitreo-retinal Fellowship at University of Tennessee. For the past 19 years, Dr. Ferreira has played a key role in successfully saving and improving vision for thousands of patients in Boston, MA and Fort Myers, FL.
